// Every magnet link passes through 3 malware engines and a human review before it appears below.

  1. 01

    ClamAV scan

Open-source signature engine runs first on every torrent payload and embedded file list. Anything flagged is rejected before the index entry is written.

  2. 02

    VirusTotal API

Payload hash cross-checked against 70+ commercial antivirus engines. A single hit halts publication and triggers manual review by the 4-engine security team.

  3. 03

    Custom YARA rules

BitTorrentShare-maintained YARA signatures targeting cryptominers, malvertising bundles, and known piracy-page redirect kits. Updated weekly.

  4. 04

    Human review

One of 6 full-time indexers or 2 community moderators confirms category, license status, and seed/leech counts before the magnet is served publicly.

// 05 / QUESTIONS FROM THE IRC CHANNEL

Things power downloaders ask before they trust a new index

No marketing copy. Direct answers from the team that maintains the pipeline.

01. What exactly gets scanned before a torrent is published?

Every entry is run through a 3-engine malware pipeline before it ever appears in the index: ClamAV signatures, the VirusTotal API (70+ engines), and a set of custom YARA rules maintained by our security team. Files already in the public swarm are re-scanned on a rolling 30-day cycle. If a hash trips any rule, the magnet is pulled within 4 hours and the original uploader is flagged.

The pipeline is the same one we've run since 2014 — there is no "lite" path. Either the torrent clears all three stages or it does not enter the index.

02. How are magnet links handled — do you log who fetches them?

We serve magnets as static 40-byte SHA-1 hashes over TLS, same as every other public index. We do not require an account to fetch one, and we do not associate fetches with a user identity.

Standard access logs are kept for 14 days for abuse handling (DMCA, takedown orders) and then rotated. We are not a VPN — if you need anonymity from your ISP, pair the site with a separate VPN or Tor. We say this plainly because pretending otherwise would be dishonest.

03. What's your takedown policy and how fast do you respond?

We honor takedown requests within 4 hours during EU business hours, and within 24 hours otherwise — the figure is published honestly rather than promised as instant. Submit via the contact page with a valid copyright claim; we verify the requestor, remove the magnet, and notify the original indexer.

Note that we index what is already publicly broadcast by the BitTorrent DHT — we are not the source of any copyrighted file. The site is intended for legal public-domain, Creative Commons, and open-source content.

04. Why is the page this fast, and why is it so light?

Average page weight is 187 KB — roughly 8× lighter than comparable torrent indexes, measured via HTTP Archive methodology. Median time-to-magnet is 1.8 seconds, benchmarked 4.3× faster than the next-largest public index in a 2024 TorrentFreak comparative.

The reason is structural: no third-party ad networks means no third-party JavaScript. We render server-side, ship a single HTML document with critical CSS inlined, and stream the table rows. The 14-person team (6 indexers, 4 security engineers, 2 sysadmins, 2 moderators) maintains the stack end-to-end — there is no CDN intermediary between you and the database.
